Poems By Eden

I push and push you never move

 With your mighty presence

You protect me

I push and push you never leave

With your engulfing love

You surround me

Where is the fairness in this?

What do you get out of it?

Is it my soul?

You can have it

I tug and tug, but you win

In the end, I belong to you

You make sure of it

I live with you by my side

Then one day I slide

I push again

Life becomes bland

Yet you stand

On the sidelines, until I return to you

As soon as that happens

 I am engulfed

By your mighty presence

And overwhelming love

Where is the fairness in this?

What do you get out of this?

Is it my soul?

You can have it

I give my self

I take it in the same breath

My back and forth is confusing

Yet you wait patiently

Take my soul

have at it

Better you than him

Better you than me

You would treat it with care

Love it and protect it from those who would dare

Where is the fairness in this?

What do you get out of it?

Is it my heart?

You can have it
